  3. Who was Col. Robert R. McCormick?
    From 1911 until his death in 1955, Col. Robert R. McCormick was the long-time editor, owner and publisher of the Chicago Tribune. He built the Tribune Company from a single newspaper into a major media organization of newspapers, radio and television stations and newsprint manufactories. McCormick played a major role in American journalism during the first half of the twentieth century.

  5. Does the Foundation support any journalism fellowships?
    The McCormick Foundation’s freedom of expression and diversity programs support seven fellowship programs targeted toward different groups (among them working journalists, minority news executives, Latin American journalists, attorneys and others).
